Is your child ready to make their college application and college essay stand out from the crowd?

Look no further!

Our signature programs are their ticket to crafting compelling narratives that capture the attention of admissions officers by showing the best of who they are.

workshops

Our summer college essay and application workshops offer students a chance to get ahead of the game.

During our workshops our participants:

  • Brainstorm topics for their Common Application and supplemental essays
  • Develop a writing plan
  • Practice answering and drafting responses to several essay prompts
  • Receive feedback from peers and CBA writing specialists
  • Produce at least one full essay draft
  • Receive one additional review by a CBA writing specialist (good for two weeks post program)

In our combination essay/application workshops students will also have the opportunity to flesh out their college list, develop their activity section, create an individualized to do list and complete individual schools’ sections of the common application.

We know that when students combine creativity and community service they face the challenges ahead of them with less stress. Therefore, each of our workshops include time for students to be creative and  participate in community service projects through our foundation Working Towards Change.

All summer sessions will be held at the College Bound Advising offices in Newton, Ma.

July Workshops

We intentionally keep our workshops small, and therefore will fill up quickly. If you are unsure of which course might be best for your child, please email us at info@collegeboundadvising.org and one of writing specialists will be in touch to discuss.
